Born Steve Martinez, Mrtinez has been shaped by two decades of musical exploration, collaboration, and deep roots in reggae culture. His sound blends conscious lyrics, classic reggae influences, and a modern edge, creating music that resonates with spirit and soul.

In 2024, Mrtinez reunited with longtime friend and legendary drummer Squidly Cole (Stephen Marley, Ziggy Marley) for a powerful new single, “The Truth Is,” produced by Squidly for 100 Studio/Dubshot Production. Recorded at Tuff Gong Studio in Kingston, Jamaica—the heart of reggae history—the track delivers a timeless message with bold rhythms and raw honesty.
